Bee's Knees June release, Cryptids

PRESS SAMPLES
sent in exchange for my honest review

Bee's Knees June release continues their cryptids theme with pastel multichromes. These are the perfect mix between a shimmer and a foil. They will go up at noon on 6/1 along with new Godzilla themed mystery bags. 3 polishes per bag with a total of 18 new mystery polishes in the pool. $25 each.

  • Available June 1, 2019 at 12pm edt.
  • $13 each
  • I've shown them all with glossy and satin topcoats, in natural light, sunlight, and t5 full spectrum lights.
  • Besides some differences in opacity these all have the same formula. Good viscosity, no flooding or pulling, stays where you put it. removes easily like a creme. The shimmer is very fine and can be difficult to completely remove from skin.

AHOOL
Ahool-a gold to green to blue pastel multichrome with purple at the extremes.
I used 3 coats plus topcoat. The purple shift is subtle but can be seen in the bottle and my satin topcoated photo. The Ahool is a giant bat or flying primate creature believed to be found in Java and Indonesia.

CHESAPEAKE CHESSIE
Chesapeake Chessie-inspired by BKL's local cryptid, Chesapeake Chessie is a a lime green to pink to pale blue pastel multichrome in a nude base.
I used 3 coats plus topcoats. Slight visible nail line at some angles.
Chessie is said to be a serpent like creature similar to Nessie that lives in the Chesapeake Bay.

OGOPOGO
Ogopogo-the pastel multichrome sister to I Only Wanted a sister, this a green to purple pastel multichrome with some hints of gold at the extremes. I also see blue in addition to the described shades. 3 coats with topcoat and slight visible nail line is seen at some angles. The Ogopogo is a lake monster of Canadian lore.

BUNYIP
Bunyip-a pale pink to lime green to gold pastel multichrome with bright blue at the extremes.
3 coats with topcoats, slight visible nail line at some angles. I think this is the most interesting cryptid because it's so obscure. Of Australian Aboriginal origins, it has been described as a water spirit resembling something like an enormous starfish.  19th Century sightings describe it as having a dog-like face, crocodile-like head, dark fur, horse-like tail, flippers, walrus-like tusks, or a duck-like bill.

I love all of these polishes but I think Bunyip is my favorite as it has the most interesting stories and unique shift.
