Indigo Bananas "Great Beasts Once Roamed this World"

by - Thursday, September 28, 2017

Hey Peeps! Today I have the last multichrome that Andrea from Indigo Bananas sent me to review, Great Beasts Once Roamed this World. I chose the color but still kind of accidentally left it for last as I'm not a big fan of red on my nails. I paired it with an upcoming Blush Lacquer shade, Colliding Constellations. I was lucky enough to have my suggestion chosen in a naming contest and Victoria sent it as a prize. The result is very nice in my opinion, I wore this mani for several days and my multichrome lovin Grandma complimented Great Beasts :). The red/orange/gold shift is perfect for Fall, just like a leaf that has changed color. I will be attempting some falling leaves art with this soon. I mostly saw red with a hint of orange on the edges unless in direct sun. Like all the others in the A Delos Holiday collection this contains some linear holo and tons of tiny silver flakes that add more depth and interest.  The dots are Colliding Constellations and the stamping is Great Beasts. I tried to stamp with this polish a bunch of other times but it didn't show up on the bases I chose, they were too similar or dark. Image is from my rusty trusty Watermarble plate from Bundle Monster, BM-XL210.

  • 3 coats with topcoat. Opaque at 2 but I wanted to see if the color would deepen. It didn't but did become more saturated once I applied topcoat. I don't have a photo to compare but I do have a short video that I will share on my Instagram. Both looks are nice.
  • As usual for IB, very nice formula. Opaque and not too thick or thin.
  • No problems with removal, basically like a cream or shimmer.
  • Stamps like a champ!

You can purchase this directly from Indigo Bananas shop or browse a limited selection in her Etsy Store. They are also stocked by Femme Fatale Cosmetics in Australia. The full size retails for $12.00 and 8ml  mini is $7.25. I have personally purchased many half sizes and they have a very easy to use full size brush, I generally hate mini bottles.

Gotta love a regular polish that stamps! Have you tried stamping with multichromes before? They are not always opaque enough but when they are I love the effect. Will you be picking up either of these polishes? Let me know in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading and have a good weekend!
