Maker description: This month's scent is inspired by one of my favorite tragic couples of film - Rocky and Frank - and the scent is a gentle masculine musk, with black tea, sweet fruits, and spice. This is a unisex scent that I would also describe as "tobacco leaves and warm leather." I also chose a slightly different blending method this month, which resulted in a more "meringue" texture than our usual frosting-like whipped soap. This formula gently cleanses and softens your skin with silky, creamy suds. This is made from scratch, in house, and the scent is an IPU exclusive! Suitable for daily use - this is much gentler than traditional soap and is designed for even the most sensitive or dry skin. Enjoy in the bath, shower, or even as a shaving soap. Offered in a reusable, high-quality glass jar. Note: Galatea is the new brand name for Fanchromatic Nails' bath & body line! We are still rolling out this transition in our online presence, so for the time being, please see FN's social media sites for updates on what we're up to!
My notes: The scent is very unisex and I definitely pick up on the black tea and spice notes. It's very nice! The lather is silky as described and left my hands feeling noticeably soft. When I used it in the shower I did not notice this, probably because I stayed under hot water afterward. I did try it as a shaving soap. It's not as thick as Cremo which is what I normally use as I have very sensitive skin and get razor burn easily but for those of you who already use a lathering or foam shave it is quite similar. I did not get razor burn, it just wasn't as comfortable as usual. Personally I prefer this as a luxuriant hand wash to fully benefit from the exclusive scent and moisturizing properties. The label is waterproof so you don't have to worry about ruining it!
My husband tried this too and he really likes scent. He felt needed to use a lot to wash his whole body but he also uses what I view as an obscene amount of body wash normally. He is bigger than me thiugh so who knows? lol This will likely become his hand wash which he is happy about and I will be pleased with his soft hands as he refuses to use anything moisturizing on them.
