Bee's Knees Polish Con NOLA Spring 2019

PRESS SAMPLES, available at the event and online at some
later date. Sent in exchange for my honest review.
Bee's Knees has made 3 very cool polishes for Polish Con NOLA (New Orleans) inspired by local urban legends which I think is really fun. These will be available at the actual event even though Bee's Knees won't actually be attending and online at the Bee's Knees shop at some point afterward. I loved all three but I think The Grunch is probably my favorite, I love aquas. Polish Con will be on April 6 and you can find all the event details at their website including tickets, a vendor list, hotels and more.

The Casket Girls

The Casket Girls-inspired by the legends of the nuns of Ursulines (it was thought they carried vampires in their casket shaped trunks), this is a white polish with larger particle OG UP and green to blue ghost flakes.
This will be $15 at the event.

I used 3 coats with topcoats for these swatches. Sadly I didn't get any sun, I wish I had more photos to show the shift. It wasn't totally opaque for me but I really liked this look with white, especially matte. You could easily do one coat of a nude or white creme to combat this or it may be opaque on someone with a less obnoxious nail line, smh. The flakies lay down with no manipulation or additional coats of topcoat. No problems with the formula, not too thick or thin, easy to apply and clean up. Look up this legend, the actual history and etymology is very interesting!

The Grunch

The Grunch-a sort of bayou chupacabra, this is a murky aqua polish with red to green shimmer and holographic flakes.
$10 at the event.
This one is super opaque! I used 2 coats but you possibly get away with one thick coat. I absolutely love the shimmer and base combination and even like those holo flakies! I am not a big fan of holo in general. This applies smoothly, no running, pulling, very easy to use for me. As usual I love the rounded brushes. Shown with glossy, satin, and matte topcoats.

The Loup Garou

The Loup Garou-inspired by the Cajun werewolf legends, this a a mushroomy taupe with red to green shimmer.
$10 at the event.
This is super beautiful, I love a good nude with a twist and there's definitely orange and bronze shifts in this shimmer too. 3 coats with various topcoats. My nail line was not noticeable in person but it's a thing cameras highlight. Smooth polish, no shimmer ridges, good easy to use viscosity. The shimmer is visible in low and natural light but my photos weren't good.
